Handy, better known as Gagi Hendrix was always surrounded by music as a
child so it was inevitable that music would become her passion. Born
and raised in Baltimore, MD Gagi sang in the church choir and performed
in talent shows expressing herself through the art of dance as a teen.
Even though singing and dancing were her passion something was still
missing. "I remember listening to Lauryn Hill's first album and being so
amazed at how she could sing and rap with rawness and still have a
powerful message." Gagi recollects. Later she bagan writing her own
songs and would add a rap verse here and there and has been rapping ever
since. With strong musical influences such as Nas, Tupac, Jay z,
Aaliyah, Jimi Hendrix and Kelis just to name a few, she continues to
perfect her craft in hopes of being recognized for her creativity and
lyrical ability.
And now... We proudly present the 1st single from our 1st lady!
