But those two artists aren't the only ones making their mark riding this wave, upcoming rap artist out of Philadelphia by the name of Grande Marshall is building up momentum as well with three trunk banging singles circulating throughout the net. This 18 yr old rapper/ producer uses his distinctly smooth flow to rip threw wild beats with ease.
Following the footsteps of many other new artist (as of late), Grande Marshall's google comes up short. Hardly anything is known about him outside of his music. In a recent interview with Jungle Gym Magazine, Grande Marshall finally gives insight to who he is as an artist... without saying much at all. But he makes sure to specify that although influenced musically by the likes of artist like Pimp C and DJ screw, he is still a Philly rapper.
"I just felt like paying homage to them. And I had just met Bun B recently and sat down and spoke with him so something like that, after that experience it just seemed appropriate. But as far as me taking the trill route, as far as southern inspired? No. Authenticity and so forth? That goes without saying. I’ve been writing car music or trunk music way before all this “trill shit” caught on like it did. People hear me and songs like Robert Earl and know it’s authentic. I’m not doing it just because it’s hot. That’s why the people who enjoy my music enjoy my music. It’s real." -Grande Marshall
