“Been on my own since I was seventeen. Left New Orleans and started chasing dreams. Moved to LA and then I hit the scene...” And "hit the scene" is just what Chase N. Cashe did. Making hits since 2006, he produced for such artists as R. Kelly, Brandy, Flo Rida, Pussycat Dolls, Young Money, Eminem, and Lil Wayne, to name a few, along with the other half of the Surf Club, HitBoy.
In 2009, Polow da Don signed Surf Club to his Zone 4 Inc label. Surf Club also encompasses the works of music makers Kent M$NEY, Chili Chil, Stacy Barthe and TY$L. Since then, they’ve been on a mission to prove that their music is “more than a game”.
Chase Released his 1st mixtape. “Gumbeaux”, on March 8, 2011 (Mardi Gras Day). This was no coincidence. The significance of this date and title pays homage to his hometown as well as highlights the mixture of music he is capable of making.
The mixtape proves that he is an all around talented artist. Handling most of the production, alongside Surf Club member HitBoy and other producers (Dreamteam, The University and Tone Mason), there’s not one beat that does not showcase not only his talent, but the talent of his team as well. All 18 tracks flow smoothly together taking you on a musical journey starting with a strong song seemingly autobiographical and ending with a smooth track to spark up to (if that’s what you’re into). Stand out tracks include “I Dont Want Nothing”, ”Inner Me”, “Eyes On You”, “One Life To Live", “Time”, “Feelings”, & “Get High”.
From the time Chase has entered the music scene until now, there has been a smooth productive progression. Needless to say, there will be more to come from this talented artist.
