Baltimore has had little to nothing at all to smile about lately. A high crime rate, major drama surrounding the Hip-Hop scene, and poor economic opportunities not withstanding. Charm city has recently found one of its own to rally behind, his name is Real Early.
Real Early is a product of his environment. That’s not a testament to the streets of Baltimore, Maryland, which groomed him into the MC that he is today. Rather, it’s walking the beaten path of label politics and industry buffoonery that has kept the lyricist overtly aware of his surroundings.
On the surface, one might assume that Real Early is another slick, arrogant, exaggerated rapper. Yet, one listen to any of his tracks will demonstrate his ability to deliver an intelligent and precise flow.
